In March 2017, Edanz Group (known as Liwenbianji in China) organized a spring seminar tour in China for early-career researchers, focusing on the Beijing area.
Delivered by Dr Trevor Lane, Education Director and Senior Publishing Consultant of Edanz Group, the seminars taught best practices in research publishing, including sound ethics, identifying the best target journal, effective academic writing, and navigating the peer review process.
Most of the seminars were given in Beijing, including at the National Institutes of Food and Drug Control, Peking University, Institute of Engineering and Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Technology and Business University, Peking University First Hospital, Beijing Union University, and the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. A visit was also made to Nantong Hospital in Jiangsu Province.
From 13 to 24 March 2017, the Edanz seminars reached a total of more than 400 graduates and researchers. At all the venues, the audience was introduced to free online tools available on the Edanz website--namely, the Journal Selector, elearning platform Author Academy, and a beta version of the guided writing platform Author Path.
Edanz Group provides tools, resources, and services for researchers and research institutions to publish in international indexed journals and communicate their research to the world. In addition to publication support, editing, and news writing, Edanz offers a range of educational services from trained native-speaking instructors to help all levels of researchers throughout their careers.
